Manchester School of Jewellery offers one day and short courses for enthusiastic beginners to skilled makers looking to broaden their knowledge in a variety of jewellery techniques and allied skills. Tutors Charlotte Verity & Gemma Scully have been formally trained and work with a variety of mediums and processes, you’ll find them in Studio One at the Centre. Workshops are held in Space2 on the Ground Floor. There are limited tickets available to allow for social distancing.

Saturday 20th November, 10am – 5pm

This new class covers a multitude of skills, shaping, hammering, stamping, texturing and silver soldering. We will also teach students how to measure, cut and put together chains of different lengths, and demonstrate how to shape and strengthen different styles of earring hooks. Practice will begin using copper, with demonstrations given for the different skills, followed by time to practice and apply these skills. Once the skills are refined, you will design and make a set of sterling silver earrings & necklace to take away.
